Tribal Elections: Deadline to Return Voted Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots must be received by the Election Committee no later than 5:00 PM CT on Thursday, September 19, 2024. In accordance with the Elections Act, absentee ballots received after this deadline will not be counted, and absentee voters are ineligible to vote at the polls.

Absentee voters may submit their ballot by mail in the pre-addressed return envelope included with the ballot or hand deliver it to the Election Committee at 32 A Street SE, Second Floor, Miami, OK 74354, during business hours (M-F, 8:30-4:30). Do not attempt to deliver absentee ballots to the polling place in Vinita.

The Committee strongly encourages absentee voters to return their ballots as early as possible to avoid post office delays. Questions or concerns? Call 918-325-6341 or email elections@shawnee-tribe.com.
