The Shawnee Tribe offers registration tags for new & used motor vehicles, motorcycles, RVs, and trailers, as well as personalized plates, handicap and Veterans plates for those who qualify.

12/19/24 Press Release: Shawnee Tribe Tag Office Now An Authorized PIKEPASS Agent
The tag office has moved to the back to Tribal Headquarters (29 S Hwy 69A, Miami OK).
To Obtain a New Tag
Tribal citizens must bring the below-listed documents to the tag office to register new vehicles in person. For information about fees or to schedule an appointment, contact tag agent Kim Jumper.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Original title (properly signed over/notarized)
- Tribal enrollment card (not CDIB)
- Lien information (including Lien Entry Form or lien release, if applicable)
- Bill of sale/Purchase agreement
- Odometer reading
- DD 214 (if applying for Veteran’s tag)
- Up-to-date placard or physician’s letter (if applying for handicap tag)
To Obtain a Renewal
- Please view the renewal fee schedule here, and contact tag agent Kim Jumper via phone or email for assistance.
- Reminder: After a 30-day grace period, tag renewals are subject to a late fee of $5 per month.

Veterans and handicap tag registrations and renewals are not subject to fees.
Miscellaneous fees are listed below:
- Replacement Title – $25
- Personalized Plates – $65
- Late Fees – $5 late fee will be imposed for every month a renewal is past due after a 30-day grace period has expired.

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
(Please arrive no later than 4:00 PM for new tags or renewals)

Debit/credit Card, Check, or Cash (no bills larger than $20)
Upon Sale of Tribally-Tagged Vehicle
Upon sale, the registered citizen is responsible for returning the tribal tag to the Shawnee Tribe Tag Office.
Update Your Address
If your address changes, please contact the tag office to report the change. This will assist in avoiding late penalties on tag renewals. A change of address form can be found here.
